Handcrafted by Tibetan artisans using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, this Brass Gawu Prayer Box Pendant is inspired by the centuries-old Himalayan tradition of carrying a portable shrine close to the heart. The hinged Gawu opens to hold a miniature Buddha statue or other meaningful keepsakes, while its carefully fitted interior securely keeps the statue in place during everyday wear.
The exterior is intricately decorated with the Eight Auspicious Symbols and the Double Vajra (Visvavajra), two timeless motifs in Tibetan Buddhism representing wisdom, harmony, stability, and spiritual protection.
Choose from 11 handcrafted gilt brass Buddha figures to create a pendant that reflects your personal practice, appreciation of Tibetan culture, or meaningful gift for someone special.
